<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Résumé. </strong>Dès ses débuts la poésie des troubadours a choisi de représenter le rapport entre l’amant et sa bien-aimée en des termes spatiaux. Le monde décrit dans la « chanson » est axé autour d’un <em>sai </em>(‘ici’), lieu du sujet et de son chagrin amoureux, auquel s’oppose nettement le <em>lai </em>(‘là-bas’), lieu de l’être aimé et de l’assouvissement (le plus souvent impossible) du désir. Cette polarité a déjà été remarquée par la critique. Dans mon article je cherche à mieux définir la consistance de la « géographie du désir » qu’elle structure, à partir de la lecture de l’œuvre de deux auteurs paradigmatiques, tels que Jaufré Rudel et Bernard de Ventadour, et d’en tracer le développement chez les poètes des générations suivantes. Les aboutissements les plus singuliers sont certainement ceux que présentent les deux troubadours voyageurs Peire Vidal et Raimbaut de Vaqueiras. Dans leurs chansons l’espace poétique du désir se fait de plus en plus concret et le discours amoureux se situe dans une géographie ouverte et polycentrique qui correspond mieux à leur expérience d’un monde sans confins.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Riassunto. </strong>Fin dagli albori, la poesia dei trovatori ha scelto di rappresentare in termini spaziali il rapporto tra l’amante e l’amata. Il mondo descritto nella « canzone » gravita attorno a un <em>sai </em>(‘qui’), luogo del soggetto e del suo tormento d’amore, a cui si oppone nettamente il <em>lai </em>(‘là’), luogo dell’essere amato e della realizzazione (il più delle volte impossibile) del desiderio. In questo articolo si cerca di definire meglio la consistenza della « geografia del desiderio » di cui tale polarità, già ben nota alla critica, costituisce il cardine, a partire dalla lettura dell’opera di due autori paradigmatici come Jaufré, Rudel e Bernart de Ventadorn, e di seguirne lo sviluppo nei poeti delle generazioni seguenti. Gli esiti più singolari sono senza dubbio quelli offerti dai trovatori giramondo Peire Vidal e Raimbaut de Vaqueiras: nelle loro canzoni lo spazio poetico del desiderio si fa sempre più concreto e il discorso amoroso viene a delineare una geografia aperta e policentrica che meglio esprime la loro esperienza di un mondo senza confini.</p>

<p><strong>Abstract. </strong>From its beginnings, the poetry of the troubadours has chosen to represent in spatial terms the relationship between lover and beloved. The world described in the “chanson” gravitates around a <em>sai</em> (‘here’), the place of the subject and his torment of love, which is clearly opposed by the <em>lai</em> (‘there’), the place of being loved and the realization (most often impossible) of desire. In this article we try to better define the consistency of the ‘geography of desire’ of which this polarity, already well known to critics, is the cornerstone, starting from the reading of the work of two paradigmatic authors such as Jaufré, Rudel and Bernart de Ventadorn, and to follow its development in the poets of the following generations. The most singular results are undoubtedly those offered by the globetrotter troubadours Peire Vidal and Raimbaut de Vaqueiras: in their songs the poetic space of desire becomes more and more concrete and the love speech comes to outline an open and polycentric geography that best expresses their experience of a world without borders.</p>
