<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Résumé. </strong>Le discours vise à analyser et à comparer les modes de déplacement de trois grands intellectuels de la Renaissance italienne : Machiavel, Guichardin et Vettori. Machiavel n’a d’intérêt que pour l’objectif qu’il doit atteindre. Le voyage est abordé rapidement sans aucune attention pour les endroits traversés. Les seules instructions qu’il laisse concernent la manière de résoudre les problèmes pratiques rencontrés en cours de route. Guichardin, au contraire, met en place un véritable journal de bord. Comme dirait Montaigne, il se comporte comme un cosmographe, soucieux de fournir des informations sur la nature physique des villes et de rappeler les aspects essentiels de leur histoire. Enfin, Vettori utilise son <em>Viaggio in Alemagna</em> comme un réceptacle, dans lequel il insère aussi des romans ou des représentations théâtrales. Ces façons de voyager permettent de comprendre la manière spécifique dont les trois Florentins observent le monde.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Riassunto. </strong>L’intervento si propone di analizzare e mettere a confronto i modi di viaggiare di tre grandi intellettuali italiani del Rinascimento: Machiavelli, Guicciardini e Vettori. Machiavelli è interessato solo a raggiungere la propria meta. Il viaggio è affrontato in fretta senza alcuna attenzione per i luoghi che attraversa. Le uniche istruzioni che egli lascia riguardano il modo di risolvere le questioni pratiche che s'incontrano durante il percorso. Guicciardini, al contrario, allestisce un vero giornale di bordo. Come direbbe Montaigne, si comporta come un cosmografo, attento a fornire informazioni sulla natura fisica delle città e a richiamare gli aspetti essenziali della loro storia. Vettori, infine, utilizza il suo <em>Viaggio in Alemagna</em> come un contenitore, in cui inserisce anche novelle o rappresentazioni teatrali. Questi modi di viaggiare aiutano a comprendere la maniera specifica con cui i tre fiorentini osservano il mondo.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Abstract. </strong>The speech aims to analyze and compare the ways of travelling of three great Italian Renaissance intellectuals: Machiavelli, Guicciardini and Vettori. Machiavelli is only interested in reaching his goal. The journey is approached quickly without any attention to the places it crosses. The only instructions he leaves are on how to resolve the practical issues that are encountered along the way. Guicciardini, on the contrary, sets up a real logbook. As Montaigne would say, he behaves like a cosmographer, careful to provide information on the physical nature of the cities and to recall the essential aspects of their history. Finally, Vettori uses his Viaggio in Alemagna as a container, in which he also inserts novels or theatrical performances. These ways of travelling help to understand the specific way in which the three Florentines observe the world.</p>
