<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Resumen. </strong><em>Nieves</em>, la icónica caricatura editorial de la pintora y periodista gráfica colombiana Consuelo Lago, tiene como protagonista a Nieves, una joven afrocolombiana que, con humor e insolente franqueza, comenta sobre el diario acontecer en el país, la cultura y las relaciones de pareja. <em>Nieves</em> representa una crónica de la historia del país en las últimas cinco décadas. El presente artículo hace un estudio de la composición gráfica de <em>Nieves</em> desde una perspectiva feminista y discute su naturaleza de testimonio dentro del periodismo gráfico. </p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>María Elsy CARDONA,</strong> "<strong><em>Nieves, </em>a graphic testimony of Colombia’s history: a feminist perspective, a new way of seeing reality". </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong> Abstract. </strong><em>Nieves</em>, the iconic political cartoon created by the Colombian painter and graphic journalist Consuelo Lago, has as its protagonist a young Afro-Colombian girl, Nieves, who, with humor and bold frankness, comments on the country’s daily events, culture and the relations between men and women. <em>Nieves </em>represents an ongoing chronicle of the country’s history over the last five decades. The present article looks at <em>Nieves</em>’ graphic composition from a feminist perspective and discusses its witnessing nature as part of graphic journalism.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Résumé. </strong><em>Nieves</em>, la caricature éditoriale iconique créée par la peintre et journaliste graphique colombienne Consuelo Lago, a comme protagoniste Nieves, une jeune fille afro-colombienne qui, avec de l’humour et une franche sincérité, parle des actualités du pays, de la culture et des relations entre les sexes. <em>Nieves</em> représente une chronique de l’histoire du pays dans les dernières cinq décades. Cet article explore la composition graphique de <em>Nieves </em>à partir d’une perspective féministe et discute ses caractéristiques de témoignage comme journalisme graphique. </p>
